Screams, dark woods, and old horror movies coupled with a little suspense to keep it interesting. Sound like a fun night? If your answer is yes, then it may be in your best interest to check out a Halloween attraction like no other, still in only its fourth season. Camp Fear is located at the intersection of 233rd and West Maple Road, and with its generally convenient Elkhorn location is sure to be an even bigger hit as it gains popularity. Situated in what the offseason knows as RiverWest Park, Camp Fear brings a whole new horror experience to the area. Your night at Camp Fear begins immediately with at least slight foreboding. Welcomed by a fluorescent arrow silhouetted alone on the dark road, it’s not hard to get excited for what’s in store. Depending on what best fits your fancy, Camp Fear has a few different options to get your heart rate up. “BLOODRUSH FORREST OF TERROR" where the fear is real in our 40 minute walking trail through the backwoods of Riverwest Park. At night the trail is dark with terrifying quality sets, sound effects and 20 plus made up actors that are hidden in the forest that jump out at just the right times to scare the (beep) out of you! It is very intense and not for those with weak hearts. “NIGHTMARE THEATER” is horrific cinema experience in the pitch dark. Watch three horror flicks back to back on our giant outdoor movie screen. Bundle up and bring your own lawn chairs and blankets. You can also rent a firepit and roast Hot Dogs and Marshmallows while watching the movie. Bring a group, have a party. (It's BYOB for 21 and older). “FRIGHT OVER NIGHT” Lastly, and arguably the most hair-raising prospect of all, Camp Fear offers one way to extend your thrills past just an hour or two with a Fright Overnight option. Space is rentable for 2 tents, a fire pit, and picnic table for $30 per night. “Staying the night is optional for those who are brave enough,”.
