In 2011 frantic 911 call, a family had to be rescued by local authorities after literally getting lost in the field as darkness fell. The story received international attention from media in Ireland, England and Australia and domestic news outlets such as The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and Associated Press. Television hosts Jay Leno and Chelsea Handler also joined in the fun and Saturday Night Live writers included the incident as part of their Weekend Update segment.
Jump ahead to 2014, the team from Paranormal New England visited this historic farm (which dates back to the 1600’s) to settle the nerves of a few of the employees after some unexplained events, and the findings were just as unexplainable as the encounters. A drum beat was recorded on high tech equipment that is distinct, and this sound clip was a first of its kind for the paranormal team. It is believed this could be a war beat from the early Native Americans that settled near the farm. See Hysteria’s youtube page for more information on this encounter.
With over 50 acres of entertainment, Hysteria has something for everyone. Visitors can shoot live zombies at Hysteria’s signature zombie ride, squeal in the massive woods and squirm at the sights and sounds of the classic twists and turns of the haunted cornfield. Hysteria was voted one of the top 10 scream parks in the country, and it’s easy to see why.
