Darkwood Manor in Luray...thoroughly enjoyed this maze last year in our first year going. This year was even better. We go to a lot of haunted houses/mazes each year for the last 20+ years....Darkwood Manor may actually be the best haunted maze we have ever attended. The atmosphere, the actors, the staff, the rooms, the movie set quality of the environment, the back story and the movie quality costumes/make up...all top notch and make this a must go to if you love haunted houses/mazes like we do. And the price is good too. Time slots make sure that you aren't waiting hours...the additional 3D maze is a bonus too! New story and theme every year!! Go...you'll thank me later!

Bring back the fat thing in the kitchen who sings about grinder up kids. They were missed last year. They should kill more kids and grind them up.

Some fat person with two sets of teeth and a torn shirt chased me to my car. I literally peed myself as I ran then they proceeded to blow me a kiss. I watched as they chased the next group out laughing. They are amazing.

Whoever wrote the song that monster sings after the kitchen deserves to be puked on. Nearly threw up grusome, great character, loved the girl in the grinder as well, the red eye thing was intimidating. Thought the mask on the blacksmith and clock thing was cool. Was scared to the point I had nightmares but again that candy out of children cap is sick.

The best haunt around. Very sad to see people put this place down. They clearly know nothing about Darkwood or are bitter. It's a disgrace to see bad reviews on the Facebook page about wait times. The Facebook page clearly says waits are long on Friday and Saturday nights. So why do bitter people have to complain. People ought to read and avoid Saturday nights. Darkwood gets very busy then. This haunt is worth every last penny. So sad people keep harassing this haunt who clearly are clueless.

I love the attention to detail in the set work and costumes. I found myself wanting to see more as I walked through. I felt that it was more of a theater performance, and maybe a little more fantasy than horror, but great fun. The actors are top notch as well. Highly recommend.

The three actors in the kitchen are clearly the best. The baker is nuts. Little girl is great. The one that sings about grinding up kids almost made me puke. The general is great outside.
